I am dreading making that tunnel, contiplating if I should make it smooth and round or plate steel in flat sections...if smooth I'm going to have to make a home made shrinker and stretcher :D

I've only fabbed short sections of tunnels before. I didn't have any tools for shaping like a planishing hammer or english wheel, I have read to use short strips and shape with a body hammer and dolly the best you can. If I had to make the tunnel for your truck I would probably go through about 5 sheets of steel before it came out right.:lol:

I really am curious on which direction you go with, shaped or squared off. Are you going to try and incorporate some gauges or anything and go with a floor mounted center console?

I would suggest a square tunnel and incorporate an arm rest or storage compartment or a place for a hidden stereo. I would of said cup holders but thats just ridiculous in a rat rod. :jester:

There is very little to no room, if anything I might do cup holders, the driveshaft tunnel will double as the arm rest
