People may start realizing that a V8 is not the only means of getting from point A to point B.

What's the percentage of V8 powered vehicles on the road today compared to non-V8 powered vehicles?

What was it 40 years ago?

People have realized...because the automakers have FORCED them to realize. It's hard to buy a V8 when nobody offers them.

Thank God Chrysler still has balls. Ford and GM lost theirs.

I saw a Ridgeline with a HUGE pair of truck nuts today. My face still hurts from how hard I was face palming.

Almost turned around to get a pic, but I didn't. :D

Unless they are gonna make a 4 banger Suburban that can tow as much as mine can, then I will still keep my Burban. I may get something else as a daily driver, but I would still keep my Burban.

That's silly.

You can buy a lot of gas for what it will cost to purchase, maintain, repair, insure, register, and fuel another vehicle.

Car - $7500
Fuel for a year - $1,347 ('05 Elantra, 9K miles a year, $3.89 a gallon)
Insurance - $300.00 (complete guess)
Repairs/Maintenance - $300.00 (again, complete guess)
Registration - $100.00

Total - $9,547

$9,547 / 3.89.9 = 2,448 gallons of fuel * 15MPG = 36,720 miles

That is similar to what my Dad and I were talking about. The cost for a new vehicle can buy a ton of fuel!

I have to use my Silvy for work on a daily basis, materials and tools used by a flooring contractor don't fit in a car.

But if I don't have to use it then its my 4 banger Malibu.

Sent from a D2 runnin GB.

Yeah...that would make even less sense...buying new.

Unless you can get a Geo Metro for $1K...it makes no sense.
