Mine's paid off and has been for sometime, so I'll keep it. I rarely drive it anymore anyway. It sits in the garage more then it gets driven. I'm usually my wife's Altima when possible. If it does get to $5 a gallon. I will look into picking me up an older VW GTI or something similar.

Saw on the news today that 93 octane is over 5$ a gallon now in Hawaii.

When we visited in november they were all complaining, and I was like, meh its a few cents more than home.

I would actually not expect to see people leaving the trucks to drive only 4-banger econoboxes, specially for long times. Maybe when the customers start to see the downsizing not as an European trend I would expect to see a 4-banger Silverado 1500...
