Went ahead and put the tails that were given to me on my truck so I could drive it.

Dropped off my mirrors tonight at bodymans house, going to be smoothed and painted by tomorrow evening.

Trying real hard to locate 03+ tails, one member is sending me pics now, and a fella in Brenham (3 hours from here) has a nice set that can meet me in houston saturday morning. Anxious to get them on and get the mirrors on too.

Really anxious to get the money for my wheels and get my gears ordered! Last time I hit the track I only had a tune....and heavy 22's and a full tank of gas with no weight reduction. Now I have the tune, e-fans, ported and polished throttle body and custom "cold-air" intake, MUCH lighter wheels, Stainless long tube headers and duals, and I'll have my 4.56's front and back. Combine that with an empty tank and some weight reduction, I could possibly see a 14 sec pass! Last time was 15.96...a full sec off would be nice !

Random Pics in a minute

 :lurk:

I know you're lurking.....as soon as I get that money those gears are ordered. Tired of putting it off.

I sold my LED tails for $100 and these tails, I put them on so I can drive the truck until I get my 03+ tails. Truck looks better with no mirrors than it did with the small ones lol.

Looks good. You just gonna leave the new tails red or tint them a bit?

I really dont know man. I'll stick em on red first and see. I really dont wanna take a chance of ruining the tails trying to tint them. On older plastic sometimes the tint wont stick and it'll develop hairline cracks all over the place.

That being said, I've had good luck with newer tails. I tinted the ones in my sig, and I tinted the ones that are on my truck now. My buddy bought them off ebay for like $100 and I tinted them for him a while back.
