You mean that I sold him? Lol

The tailgate is getting shaved

For some reason I can't get good pics of my truck. I watched the mechanic pull it out of the bay yesterday after the alignment and drive it down the highway, thing looks GOOD. I even put some tire shine on he rubber last night, talk about looking sweet!

I think the 03 tails and painted factory mirrors will look sweet. I'm also going to gt an ss tailgate cap.

My neighbor put one on his truck a couple months back. Big improvement!

You mean that I sold him? Lol I fixed my post before you posted. How'd you see that?

The tailgate is getting shaved I realized that might be the case after I saw his bro's red truck.

Has anyone ever taken the tailgate cap off and had the holes welded and smoothed...or does someone sell a smooth tailgate?

I've never been a fan of the factory tailgate cap. Mostly because if you do want it off, you're left with all the holes from the clips.

They all have the holes, some caps just use adhesive tape though. I've seen the holes all welded up but it looks wierd, too plain IMO. I'm trying to find a pic of the ss cap on my buddies truck. I dont see any reason why you'd want the cap off, if you were using it as a truck to haul then you'd want it to protect the tailgate, and if it was a street truck you'd shave em.

I just prefer some spary-on bedliner over the tailgate. The plastic is sort of bulky IMO.

The SS version is definitely a much cleaner look. :)

Mirrors off, and factory mirrors on the left about to be painted, and on the right are the led tails that my buddy gave me plus $100 bucks for mine. I won't be using them

Went ahead and put the tails that were given to me on my truck so I could drive it.

Dropped off my mirrors tonight at bodymans house, going to be smoothed and painted by tomorrow evening.

Trying real hard to locate 03+ tails, one member is sending me pics now, and a fella in Brenham (3 hours from here) has a nice set that can meet me in houston saturday morning. Anxious to get them on and get the mirrors on too.

Really anxious to get the money for my wheels and get my gears ordered! Last time I hit the track I only had a tune....and heavy 22's and a full tank of gas with no weight reduction. Now I have the tune, e-fans, ported and polished throttle body and custom "cold-air" intake, MUCH lighter wheels, Stainless long tube headers and duals, and I'll have my 4.56's front and back. Combine that with an empty tank and some weight reduction, I could possibly see a 14 sec pass! Last time was 15.96...a full sec off would be nice !
