You should do your mains first, and plasti guage all of them before you start connecting rods to the crank. I guess you could do it this way, BUT, I sure wouldn't. I like to be able to turn the crank over without any restrictions whatsoever. Be able to feel it, and how smooth it is or isn't. Then start connecting rods. CorrectOk, but you did plasiguage between the bearing and the rod journal on the crank, then took them back off? If so, thats fine then.
