I don't know which motor I want to build now ...
As you know, if you been keeping up with this thread, I'm wanting to build a stroker 454 BBC motor ...
Started to build a 454 2-bolt main ..
Got pretty far into the build on it..

Spent a few bucks on it ..
Then I ran up on a 4-bolt main block, that's when 496 stroker bug bit me ..

Ok, not alot of backing up was going to be needed to run the 4-bolt stroker ..
Until I found a 2003 8.1L 496 CI Gen
VII .... Eek
Not much of the Mark IV parts that I bought will work on the Gen VII ..
The boat motor oil pan won't fit, timing cover is different, cam not going to work, the 2003 motor uses a roller cam ..
Kind of thinking to stay with the old school Mark IV due to all the work I've done so far ... More thought will go down before I make a decision on which motor to build ..
