I will go 1 step farther. We know where all of the flaws are, on our own vehicles. Some people are more detail oriented that others, but still, we see flaws, in our own vehicles, where other don't. I have them in my truck, and my Corvette. I also go to a lot of car shows. Usually 2 every weekend. I see a lot of classic, and, antique vehicles, and very few are flawless, if any. your project is beautiful. Enjoy it.

You've been smacked upside the head a few times with this build.

You ain't just 'Whistling Dixie'

Here's the latest ...
Time Sert kit came in today, jumped on the block with installing the insert ..
That went down slick as butter, netted a dang nice repair ..

Loaded the torque plate back on and was doing the three torques .. 25-50 then 80 ft lbs ...
All was well doing the 25 & 50, started in on the final torque and two more studs pulled the threads out of the deck ..:willy:

I'm going to kick back and ponder on what to do for a while ...

That sucks! I have no clue on what to do. I know I'd be pissed with all the setbacks you've been having.

Only way to save this block (Not to mention all the work I did on it so far) is to get rid of all the weak-ass cast-iron threads and install stainless steel threads .. ..

Back to working the inner fenders ..
While back I filled all the unused holes in with weld ..
Epoxy primer was laid on ..

Shot Bed-liner on the engine side, tire side seen Por-15 ..
Once they are installed will shoot rubberized undercoating over the Por-15 ..

The front of the inner fenders and the sheet metal around the radiator was shot with Hot-Rod black and cleared over with Satin clear ...

Thought looking through the T-Rex grill at the Hot-Rod black would net a better look than having Bed-liner on that area ...
