Man, I hear you. It's frickin HOT here too. It's been raining a lot. In the last 3 months we may have had 3 or 4 days with no rain. Then if it doesn't rain, it's just way to hot to do anything. No rain today, but it's in the high 90s and humidity isn't far behind. I just went to Walmart to get a few things it felt like I couldn't breathe, it's so hot. There was a car show, this morning, but with all of the rain, nether my Corvette or truck was ready for a car show. I cleaned the Vette up some, but it's just ot hot, to go anywhere. That's what I get for having a black on black Corvette. I was kind of wondering if you made a choice on alternators. I had the change the 1 on the Corvette yesterday, LOL and well I started Thursday, but couldn't finish installing it untill yesterday. I choose a Power master 150 amp. I am running electric fans, and with everything on, fans, AC, wipers, and headlights, it pulls perty hard on the charging system. The power master seem good for now. Time will tell. I did have to replace the belt, with one 1/2 shorter, so, I had to unbolt the valve cover, to get enough slack.

That's sweet.
When I bought the Corvette, I didn't realize just how hard it is to work on these things. There just no room to get at things. My truck is so much easier to work on. I like a C-6 Corvette, but there's no way I could have 1. At least I can, work on my C-3, even though it's not easy. It doesn't help anything also, that I do a lot of my work, in my back yard. I keep the Corvette under a lean to that I built years ago, for my boat. I sold my boat a long time ago. The Corvette fits under the cover well, but that means I'm not on concrete. I have gravel there, so when I drop something, it kind of disappears. Then there is my age issues. At 66 years old, I'm just not as ambidextrous as I used to be. Also @ 5 foot 10 and 270 LBS, that does help anything ether, although I do good for my size. Don't get me wrong, I do have a cement driveway, and a carport that is part house, but it's kind of my wife's spot. She goes there to smoke, so I don't want to tie up that area.

This one is a Gen VI ... (1996 to 2001)
It came from GM with roller lifters ...

Also have a Gen VII ... (2001 to 2009) Both motors will be took apart for inspection and clean up ..

I won't have a need for either motor, although the Gen VII has 496 cubes and would be a really nice motor to build for the truck ... But, I'm going to stick to building a 496" out of a Mark IV ..
Reason for is none of the parts I been buying up for the Mark IV (1965 to 1990) motor will work on the late motors ..

Would be starting all over with the motor build ..

Kind of liking the boat motor oil pan, Milodon timing chain cover, Air gap intake ect ..
