It had the front right caliper seize last Saturday ( 7/30/11 ) so I just got done making a brake parts order. $202 for new Motorcraft front calipers, and $293 to Summit Racing for Power Slot slotted rotors and Hawk LTS pads. F U truck :gunguy:.

:lol:. But at least Summit Racing met Rock Auto.coms price of $98 per rotor vs their advertized $137 per rotor. Love Summit! But thats the front end alone, later on i'll do the rear. So much for getting exhaust done next week. Prior to this happening I had bought the Pinnacle Contours Leather Treatment kit for it then the bastard costs me nearly $500 in brakes. Oh well it happens.

You really should order the other caliper also Darren. You should do them in pairs cuz who knows when the otherone will seize up. Could be next week.

..?

$202 for new Motorcraft front calipers,

You think I bought ONE $202 caliper? :jester:

I learned that with my old truck. That happened to both fronts, first time was 2010 at 82k miles, front left. Second time was 2 days before I traded in May 2011. Thought I avoided that problem, well, looks like I didn't. :nonod:

:thumbs:

good call :cheers:

I'll get to put a few miles on it today. I have to go to the doc which is about an 80 mile round trip, and then I'll go to work, which is about a 50 mile round trip. It'll feel good to get on it a bit going to the doc. :thumbs:

Contemplating buying the same wheels again, buying them back, or did you buy them back?

They're back in my possession :D :thumbs: :cheers::wookie: :D2
:thumbs: :cool: Same price as you sold them? What happened that the guy was willing to sell them back so quickly?
So now your dad has the GM 20's on the Tahoe...sellin' the 17's then?

Drove it to take my grandma to get groceries, stopped by AutoZone and the dealer to check on some parts (didn't order any), and then stopped by the post office to mail out my ballast to DDM....for the second time. We'll see how long it takes to get it back this time.

They're seal-coating the two main roads that have to use to get home. :fume: It's painful to listen to as I drive on it at 20mph. :crybaby:

Removed the grill, headlights, and parking lights from the S10. I've got a guy that's interested in them. I'll be replacing it all anyways (already have all the parts).

The truck will be sitting for the rest of the day as I'm taking the motorcycle to work. Put on 60mi on the truck so I need to cut back on it for a few days. :lol:
