Got it a 1,500 watt DC-AC inverter.

It's a Cobra CPI M1500 marine rated unit. 1,500 watts continuous and 3,000 watts peak. Got it on eBay for $90 with free shipping and Fed-Ex delivered it this morning.

Nice!
I'm satisfied with my 400W inverter... It powers my laptop and external HD... I'm happy!

I have another one, a 150watt unit, that I keep in the truck for things like running a drop light, recharging a tool battery pack, etc. That one will probably now go in the wife's truck.

Replaced one of my dome light bulbs with an LED unit. Much better!

Now, I just need to find the right LED's for the other two, at a reasonable price. The center dome uses a 211-2 bulb, so I swapped that for a bright white 16 LED bulb, and was going to replace the two switched spotlights with the same bulbs in red, but of course the fwonking bulbs are different (561's) and none of the charts that list the bulbs for that truck mentions that little fact. So now I have several extra white and red #211-2 bulbs that I have no use for except as spares, and I need to find #561 LED bulbs in red, with wide angle and high output, at a good price. Best I've found so far is about $12 each, which sucks, since I got the red 211-2's for $1.50 each.

Also, how the fWONK do you get those fWONKing 561's back in?? The damn loops on the ends have to go over the top of the contacts inside the housing and then hook on, but there's no room in there for your fingers to actually grip the fWONKing bulb! :fume:

The guy who designed that little fwonkup needs to be found and tortured.

Drove about 200 miles today to have a Thanksgiving... Well worth it after all the home made food! Also switched out the Summer rims for the Winter rims on Wed..
