Ok, I have a question.. and this is an honest question, because I haven't looked under a new F-150 to see how they're made. Does the Raptor use a different frame than a 'regular' F-150 or do the rest of you guys have the thinned-out frame over the bump stops and a not fully-boxed frame for the rear frame section? :dunno:

Ford did a large amount of chest thumping when the Tundra came out about how their frame (F-150) was fully boxed (yet the "Super Duty" is not.......). I would guess that the Raptor frame is different.

That's called marketing. Companies do that to convince people their trucks are superior. You should be familiar with the concept. :jester:

Is it just me or does it look like its bending the wrong direction? If you over-stress a piece of metal by pushing up at a specific point (bump stops) it's going to bend upwards. It seems it should be bending the exact opposite way: high at the front and back (wheels=loads), low in the middle. With a big gap at the bottom of the bed/cab area and small gap at the top similar to most early 90s trucks. :dunno:
Extreme case:

Could be.

I guess by that measure, the F-150 is far superior than the Super Duty because the SD had a c-channel frame.......like the Tundra I believe.
