From the videos I've seen on youtube I bet Ford didnt count on people doin so much quality control testing. :jester:

Yeah, more than likely!

But, if you put out a truck and in your own commercials, you're showing it haulin' gas out across the desert and jumping stuff.. You have to expect some folks are gonna go "hey, hold my beer! Watch this!!"

Its just like all the "trail tested " jeeps. I'm sure Chrysler knew they werent gonna get people running them on trails in stock form. Ford just did too good a job advertising.

I don't mean to bash at all.

You can't tell me that for $60k you can't box the ENTIRE frame!!! Of course guys are gonna beat the crap out of it in the desert. It was marketed that way. Its like saying someone wouldn't try the same tests Ford did on the 3.5L EcoBoost engine just to prove Ford right or wrong.

This really is inexcusable, IMO.

This is not some computer glitch, bad lifters or a glass cracking kind of problem. This is a problem that interferes with the actual structural integrity of a truck that was touted to be the biggest and baddest motherfucking production off-roader out there.

whoever is paying 60k is getting ripped off, they go for 45k. but you have a point.

Things have to go wrong to improve the overall quality of something. Sure it sucks that these people paid a good penny for their new Raptor's but I have always said, you don't go buy something the day it comes out, because in a few years it will be made better because the faults will come out and be corrrected. :dunno:
