Ok, I have a question.. and this is an honest question, because I haven't looked under a new F-150 to see how they're made. Does the Raptor use a different frame than a 'regular' F-150 or do the rest of you guys have the thinned-out frame over the bump stops and a not fully-boxed frame for the rear frame section? :dunno:

Ford did a large amount of chest thumping when the Tundra came out about how their frame (F-150) was fully boxed (yet the "Super Duty" is not.......). I would guess that the Raptor frame is different.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
I don't understand why they didn't test them better. Heck, give 10 of them to TMC and we could surely put them through exhaustive testing regimens. Then fix our findings and roll them out into production. :tmc:

The raptors frame is the same as the normal f150, and is fully boxed....most people with raptors beat the shit out of them, I just got back from the dealer from dropping my dad off to pick up his raptor, and we were talking with the guy we always deal with and he was telling us that there was a guy who just bought one and jumped it and hit a rock and bent the front of the frame, they fixed it and he did the same thing a few days later but messing up the entire front of the body....the truck had 500 miles on it

I would bet that each of those trucks with a bent frame hit the bump stops very hard when they bent, which means they took their truck way past its limits....
