No shit car for me...too uncomfortable to sit in for more than an hour and when you live in BFE nothing is less than an hour away.

What ever happend to hydrogen technology?.... :dunno:

It didn't work.

Yeah.. Maybe folks will be a little more sane in how far they swing from one extreme to the other during this fuel price spike... :dunno:

The only thing that will alter current buying behavior is a sharp poke in the wallet.

Mine is paid for, it's not going anywhere. :D

Besides, fitting the two of us, two dogs (one near 100lbs) and all of our gear and getting us to the lake every weekend isn't something I want to do in a smaller vehicle.

BUT, we do have the 30+mpg Jetta for those time when it's just she and I.

I don't think most of America knows what a wallet is. They'll just keep charing it and going farther in debt while making the minimum monthly payment.

some people cant afford to have both honestly... especially younger folks with insurance prices ect. It also depends how far you drive a day. My drive to work is 1.5 miles. So i drive 3 miles a day.... I could care less about 3 miles a day.... which is 15-20 miles a week when traveling to work. That is less than 10 bucks a week if just going to work and stopping at the store on the way home.

If you drive 50 -100 miles a day.. then yes.. A truck is just plain stupid and you should be in shitbox car at the least.

Unless they are gonna make a 4 banger Suburban that can tow as much as mine can, then I will still keep my Burban. I may get something else as a daily driver, but I would still keep my Burban.

I wouldn't expect to see a 4-banger Suburban so soon, but the upcoming 3.6L turbocharged V6 would possibly be a reasonable option.
