Mine is paid for, it's not going anywhere. :D

Besides, fitting the two of us, two dogs (one near 100lbs) and all of our gear and getting us to the lake every weekend isn't something I want to do in a smaller vehicle.

BUT, we do have the 30+mpg Jetta for those time when it's just she and I.

Paid for is exactly why my truck is not going anywhere!

That's why my Burban isn't going anywhere. We do drive the Altima a lot more than the Burban when we are all riding together though. The main exception is road trips though. I will gladly pay for fuel cost to have twice as much room and much more comfort than riding in the Altima.

I see a lot of gas pumps. During the week I drive 250-350 miles a day.

What ever happend to hydrogen technology?.... :dunno:

It didn't work.

It can work, but the cost to deliver hydrogen is just too much high, and it's too reactive, easy to have an explosion. The most reasonable gaseous fuel, currently, is CNG (that can be sourced not only from wells but also from organic waste in landfills and sewage treatment stations), widely used back here.

Both trucks are paid for and neither one goes further than 5 (.9 to school, I dont go anywhere most days) miles a day usually. If I end up having to commute a long ways to work, I don't know what will happen. :dunno:

I use mine all the time. I don't care if gas is $5 a gallon cars are useless to me. I will ride a motorcycle to keep the fuel bill down But spending another $100 a month on gas is cheaper than owning, insuring and maintaining another car.

And the wife isn't getting rid of her truck anytime soon. It's paid for, and with her bad knees there's no way she can get in and out of anything lower to the ground.
