I agree that this is a much better alternative, but I still think the HID's are incredibly blinding to oncoming drivers. I know...........

I'll agree with that. It's not only the glare, but the fact that most of the bulbs are white. I used to run HIDs in stock housings, but after realizing how nuts they were I promised myself not to run them again until I do a proper retrofit. While it's still not legal, it's a much better way to run them. No worse than cars that come stock with HIDs.

Looking forward to the progression. The exact style I want to do/have done myself. Chrome bowl housings but black shell. I like NCSU's lights but the black bowls is what made me think leery of the initial appearance of the Retro-Fits. I do like the chrome bowl and retrofit with black shell look. If I scrape some side cash up I may try it to my original OEM headlamps in the garage or ship them out to be done.

Think I'm going to split and paint the headlights tomorrow. Too lazy to start tonight. So ready to get it done, though.
