Tad busy on the hose, found a good spot to nail down a support for the trans dipstick ..

Thought about cleaning up the top rad. hose by using Gate's PowerGrip™ SB Clamps ..


Would get rid of the ugly up there ...

I'm not sure I've ever seen a transmission dip stick tube that long. The dip stick itself must be long as all get out.

When I bought the overdrive transmission out of a 2000 Chevy 3/4 ton Van, the stick was in the deal ..
The TH 400 that was in my truck also had a Van dipstick ..
Made it super easy to check and fill without the need to climb on the truck ..

Oil fill and dipstick are also from a Van ..

That explains a lot if they came out of a van.

Hey man, I like the test stand. Sometimes old is better than new, when it comes to things like your test stand. Things were built to last back then. Today, there are only built to last through the warranty period, and even so, they don't always make it that long. It's all about making a dollar today, not building quality.
