Also, again, it's just me, but, I personally hate a rat rod. It's like, the owner was to lazy to finish the build, and said, yeah, that's good enough. Again, it's just me personally. I realize there are a ton of rat rods out there, and some people love them. IMO, in my mind, I can see how it all started. You know as well as I do, that the original rat motor, was a 427 big block Chevy. Probably a Corvette engine. So originally the rat rod was a hot rod with a 427 rat engine. Then years later, here is this idiot, who rolls out some POS rat infested junk, that's been sitting in his grandpa's barn for years, and when his buddy ask, what is that, he says, man it's a rat rod. See where the rats have been eating away at it, because he is to ignorant to know any better. That's the vision that pops into my head, when I see a rat rod. Again, just my 2 cents. Your build look to be leaps and bounds above that. When something is done properly it elevates the build beyond rat rod statues, and IMO yours is beyond rat rod statues. Personally I like a nice paint job, along with all the other modifications. I know your no where near finished, and I personally look FWD to seeing the end result. At the end of it all, it's your ride, so do what ever you like best. It is interesting to follow your build, no mater what you decide do.
