A little more oil on the cam chain won't hurt none ...
I'm installing a M-77 oil pump (Not Hi-Volume) with the optional blue Corvette pressure relief spring ..
Bumps the oil pressure up bout 10 psi over the stock pump ...



The hole that I drilled into the NPT 1/4" plugs is .040"

Also improving oiling to the cam lobes by groovin the block's lifter bores ...



Net results is longer engine life ..

Another mod that's being added to the soup is a Moroso screen kit ...



Just in case sumthin lets go up top, really don't want the lower end to get wasted ... That's some 'Big Bucks' down there !

Got some big dollar parts to buy for the 496 motor build ..
No choice but to sit on it and save up for em ..

Not much left to do on the 454 ..
Soon to install ...

Installing a oil cooler is going good ..
Using a GM adapter, it looks to be designed well with a built in thermostat ..



Hasn't found a cooler just yet ...
Do think I'll have a nice spot under the radiator to mount it ..

We'll see what I'll come up with in that department ..



Do like this one ..
The AN fittings are welded on ..
Made heavy-duty ..

Thought it would be a good idea to have a oil temp gauge onboard ...
Not wanting to mount it on/under the dash cause it's looking way too busy already ...

Found one made for motorcycles ..



It'll be mounted inside the glovebox ..



Also uped the oil cooler some ..



Bigger might be better in this area ..
