Was going to do .030" .. But 496 sounds better than 489 ...

If ya going to be a bear, be a Big Bear !!

Could have went with a longer stroke (4.375") would jump the cubes to 520 inch ... With the .060" overbore ..
(Not going to be that big of a bear)

Done with the boring ..
Need to buy a plate to use for honing ..

Being I have cast iron heads, going with a cast iron plate ..
Lot of folks says the plate is overkill and unnecessary ??
Dang thing is not cheap by no means ..
I do want to have great ring seal, so I'm saving up to get one .. Overkill or not !

Sometimes overkill means peace of mind. :cheers:

Nice job. Love the AC brackets. I hate the way mine are set up, in my Vette. The vintage air is grate, but accessing the #2 spark plug with the LT headers is next to impossible. I have big hands, and they just don't fit between the AC bracket, header, and where the spark plug hole is. The upper control are in in the way, so no way to reach it from under neath ether. Sometimes I get my skinny wife to access that spark plug for me. You can see the bracket in this pic. Being a Corvette, there is no room to go upward with anything, ether. Oh well, it's all part of owning a C-3 Corvette.
