Bout done with the motor, get the belts for it and do the 871 heads and get them installed, be time to set it in the truck ..

I hope you're going to do a sound clip of it running for all to hear.

I think the oil fill tube is the only thing that seems out of line. I understand why it's like that, but even with a funnel I think you'll have some spillage when you put oil in it.

My idea for the weird oil fill is to keep me from climbing on the truck ..
Being a lifted truck makes it hard to get to the motor/trans for service work ..

The oil fill tube is soon to have company ..
Homemade dipstick will be mounted to the fill tube once I get around to making it ..

Speaking of oil ..

Did get around to installing the og IH sending unit ..



Keeping the dash clean without mounting gauges under it by using the og factory in dash gauges ..



They all are still working after these many years (71) ..
