Taking alot of time waiting on parts ..
Had to send a Money Order for the windage plate and bolts ...
Using snail mail is not the fast way of going about it ...

About the timing cover, the seller wanting to use Zell to get paid ..
Told him I only use PayPal ..
No word from him since then ...

Still looking for a Mooneyes cover ..

Got a second option on the table ..
Forget about the Mooneyes ribbed cover and buy a new cover ..

Made by Milodon, ad states it works with the short water pump and is clearance for a double roller timing chain ..

Most likely the Moon cover would need working in those areas ..

Sure do like the grooves on the Moon cover, but may not be a easy install ..

Going to ...

Sucks about that cover, but if you had to rework it, maybe it's a good thing it didn't work out. Hell, you can't see it anyway when it's on the engine.

Almost got all the parts to nail down the oil pan for the final count ..

Still hunting the heads, got a world of parts to get and do a bunch of work on em before their ready to bolt on ...
That job will be time consuming ..

Looking at the pic made me remember how easy it used to be to change the fuel pump.

This motor is near the last that supports a fuel pump ... It's a 1988 model, 1990 was the last year for the Mark 4, they had a long run from 1965 to 1990 ..

1991 to 2001 motors ( Gen V & VI ) didn't have a place on the block to bolt-on a pump ..
A electric pump in the fuel tank was in play ..
2001 was the last year of production Big Blocks ...
Only crate motors are attainable these days ...
