No, that's not a banana in my pants.
Ever since my first car was broken into and rampaged years ago, I've had an alarm on every vehicle I've since owned. On my Cutlass I had a steering column lock (protective metal collar that locks around the steering column) in addition to my alarm. I've had my shock sensors adjusted to the point that the jolt from breaking a lug loose was enough to set off my alarm. It also helps that I have a dog in the yard now who barks like crazy everytime someone walks even on the sidewalk in front of my house. He will REALLY bark whenever the mailman comes or anyone else comes to knock on my door, so I'm sure he'd scare away anyone trying to look into my vehicles under the carport. But a dog will only do any good if you are parked at home. I remember when I was staying in the Dorms st UNO, I had my alarm go off one night and when I checked my car, I saw the door glass was pulled back some past the weatherstripping. No damage done, but who is say what would have happened had my alarm not gone off ? Would they have stolen my stereo? My wheels? Even stole the car?
