I'm thinking she told me she did put it on stands, not sure. I think the insurance guy came out this afternoon. So I would assume she'd have a check in a day or so, being it's sort of an emergency situation. Then again...

Why were there no locking lugs?!?

No locking lugs, but they did require a special tool for removal. I suppose the crooks cased the car, then figured out what they needed and went for it. The lugs she has are the same as mine. The key is pretty much universal and can be picked up anywhere I suppose nowadays. :dunno:

That's the problem with lug locks. They're too common today. Heck, Walmart even sells them! I know they are supposed to be a good thing, but they need to become more unique like a car key is.

It's time for her to invest in the highest-dollar alarm system she can afford. Shock sensors, tilt sensors, window/pressure sensors, etc, etc, etc. It's always worth a few hundred dollars to protect a vehicle worth thousands.

TX, where else should I be?
Tell her to tie a 'possum to it by its tail. Loop the cable through the spokes of one and tie to the other. They wont touch it when they find that snarling little bugger tied to it. They aren't going to shoot it because then their cover gets blown and it takes more work to kill it by beating it than the rims are worth.

Also at least they weren't super cheap and took their blocks with them.

But seriously, that does stink. And it is true, there really is no "secure" rim lock anymore because every ricer with a fartcan muffler and krylon painted rims think they need them. She needs some plastic inserts to fit in front that has a good picture of a rusty old rim. They'll see that and leave it alone.
