Lot of welding and a lot more grinding today. Got the blower hole block off plate welded in. Patched a few really thin spots and a couple of rust holes. I was spending a ton of time trying to grind it back down smooth then realized it would all be covered. So I knocked down the worst of it and called it good.

I'll start working on the filler piece, in grey, tomorrow. It will give the passenger side firewall a similar shape as the drivers side.

To most this will look like just another piece of sheet metal. This is a bolt in high hump section for TH-400 and 4 speed trucks, this piece is not reproduced. It is a necessary part for laying frame and I got lucky enough to catch one on the parts board.

Throwback Thursday, my wife ran across this pic and said it's dated 1993. One of the few pics of the truck that I have from back in the day.

Love it. I found old photographs of my Dodge when my Papa had it. That is a great find.
