Well I made a little progress this weekend.

Spent Friday getting an MRI so we can try and get my back fixed up. :crybaby:

I got my 25 year old Snap-On mig drug out to the backyard and had intentions of using my generator to power it. Well that didn't go so well, I'm trying to spot weld panels and the generator won't spool up quick enough so it was a frustrating mess! Ended up running an extension cord out there. Going to run a temporary dedicated circuit out next weekend. :fume:

My old Jackson quick change hood finally gave up the ghost so I ran to Lowes and picked up a Kobalt hood. Had good reviews and was $100, pretty satisfied with the thing.

I absolutely hate not having a shop! I will take over the garage eventually but not until after the first of the year. But having everything out back really sucks.

Did a few practice pieces in the garage and figured I would start trying to tackle welding the AC delete panels in.

It's gonna be slow going, weld a spot let it cool and weld another spot! Grind, Grind, Grind and more fucking grinding. :D

I'm having a real hard time getting used to welding with these bifocals too! I'm out of practice and voltage drop on the welder was driving me nuts. I'll get it eventually and it will all go smoothly but this weekend was just frustrating all around.

Didn't finish but squirted some primer on it so it doesn't rust between now and next weekend when I get back to it.

Been checking the parts boards and ran across a set of NOS rocker panels, paid a premium but I feel they were worth it in quality.

All day man.

These after market parts are workable... but fit like crap right out of the box 8 out of 10 times.

NOS parts man fit like butter.

Nice score!

Doctors appointments out of the way, now setup my "compound" for a weekend of working on this heap. Lol

Ran a temporary 30 amp circuit out back, had a spool of 10-2 Romex and grabbed a new breaker at Home Depot. Crawled around the attic this morning and got it all wired up. Yes my neck is still red and I can shade tree with the best of them.
