I need help buying my tools for class at school

if i had the money when i was in votech to buy mac or snap-on i would have. when u look at the cost of say the classic 78 tool box from snap-on its 4000 plus if you can get a that box for 2000 y not if you can aford too? u dont have to buy everything from snap-on or matco. but i would buy the box from them. a build from there. if it dont work out late u can always sell the box for 2000 cause noone will know thats what you payed for it. id get a good box. then build up your tools. or if you can buy everything you can now while your gettin half off.

The best tools in the world are utterly useless if you can't find them because they're scattered all over the shop because you don't have a decent place to store them, or because they got damaged or ruined from improper storage.

I didnt really say I wasnt using a toolbox. If I had to choose between a good toolbox and good quality tools due to money. I'd put the money towards the tools and get a cheaper box for now and buy that snapon/matco box later down the road.

I thought you ordered Craftsman tools? Did you also order some more Snap On besides the ratchet you mentioned?

The only thing I got in craftsman was that 409 piece 6pt socket set, open/closed end wrenches, pry set pro series, brake tool sets, drop light, mallet set, and 25-250ft pound digitech torgue wrench not the micro torque version.

Matco I got socket bit set w/hex, torx, etc., punch/chisel set w/ brass punch, hacksaw, and T70 socket.

Snapon I ordered/got was 1/4 ratchet, 1/4 flex ratchet, 3/8 ratchet, 3/8 flex head ratchet, 1/2 ratchet, 1/2 ratchet, torx screwdriver set, vise grip set, spark plug pilers, oil filter wrench, fender cover, punch holder, and brake spring pilers. Both 1/4 ratchets are 4 1/2 in length. Thinking on ordering longer version in 1/4 in ratchet and 1/4in flex head ratchet.

I dont see why it wouldn't. The bottom box has a 2900 pound max weight and the top box has 200 pound max weight.
