You probably already know what my suggestion will be. :D I have tried the Duplicolor clear and was not impressed with the results. Now looking for another brand of clear that will give me better results so I'm def interested what you come up with too.

Yeah for sure. I would much rather have your method performed but, I don't have any paint shop friends anymore, or the funds to have that done. I must request a photo though which i'll ask in your how-to thread.

But my main goal is to try to achieve the best result with the VHT crap and a rattle can clear to get near pro results on a budget

That's what i've been reading. I'm definitely going to try it.

do it, do it!!! I wanna see your results so I can do mine :jester:

I agree with what you said earlier Darren that it needs to be smoked not blacked out. We have a bunch of old farts in red trucks with toppers around here that can't drive too well :uhoh: so I don't want any excuses for them "not seeing" my tailights

Yep that's the combo I used. I get good discounts on Amazon and what I ordered was the exact same thing:

Posted these pics in your other thread, but for those that didn't see them. That combo works great. Click for freakin' huge pics. :D

Where's Hunter? He can see my orange peel if he clicks the top pic and then zooms in underneath the FX4 decal.

Let's just say I spent a lot of time on these. I actually did it twice to get it as good as I liked it. The first time looked good but as usual I was being OCD.
