Engine degreased - 2007 Cadillac Escalade

My truck's engine was just filthy. It was full of dirt and small rocks (got to love Canadian winters). I went to Canadian tire and bought a bottle of Simple Green's MAX degreaser. I decided not to pressure wash it at home. I then headed to the local car wash which has several bays where you can wash your vehicle. It is a good idea to spray the engine first, and then use the degreaser.

NEVER wash a hot engine. Be sure it is has cooled down before you start.

Note: Covering up your intake box, fuse box, or other electrical equipment is a very good idea. I didn't do it, but doing so, you can potentially avoid a disaster (e.g water getting in the intake).

Nice job. I clean my engine bays with a 4:1 water/simple green ration to clean.

Looks great! I have yet to actually clean my engine bay though. Although we don't really have winters so salt and stuff doesn't get up there. I don't really care how it looks, as long as it works and stuff's easy to get to.

 Look's real good. The only thing I cover up when I do mine is the distributor.
