You mentioned that the belt has been changed, but what about other parts that normally wera out? Like the battery, and brakes? I'm sure you've had to change those as well right?
Also, are most of those miles highway miles? :dunno:

Congrats! Too bad the 2002+ models lasted 3yrs till they crapped out . No verification behind that, but i've never heard wonderful reviews on them like I have the '95 - '01s. Had an '02 sport myself.

That's when the Explorers were good. The 2002+ Explorers were utter shiz. They would eat transmissions...among other things.

What pisses me off Zem...is that only ONE American manufacturer buile a SUV like the Explorer you posted. 5-passenger, lots of space with the seats up, and able to tow things and take some abuse. In other words...it's not a glorified car.

Sadly, with the bowing out of the GMT-360s...and the proper Explorers...only the Grand Cherokee fills that role.

The Lambda's while nice, are too big...and the Equinox is too weak. And now, the car-based Explorer, with it's puny engines, has ballooned up to the size of the Lambdas...leaving a gap between it and the Escape (which is weak...my mom has one).

My grandma may be buying a Grand Cherokee to replace her Rainier...

But she really likes the leveling rear suspension...something not found on the Lambdas. But she does like the Enclave.

Like I said, maintenance items have been done. The brakes are about 100,000 miles old at this point though. Premium ceramics and new rotors all around at about 104K. Still have about 40% front and 60% rears left. I've put about 110,000 miles on this Explorer since November of 2007. Lots of those miles were highway. I travel a LOT Monday through Thursday.
