Red truck:
Took it to the gas station, filled up the drivers side tank (20 Gallons) and my dad never tried the pasenger tank becuase he was always too broke. WHen you depress the button to switch from tank to tank it just makes the gauge fall down past full to the bottom of the gauge. So I said "let me put 5 gallons in the pass tank and see if it works".
Turned the truck around, stuck the nozzle in, started talking to dad on the phone about something and when I looked back I was at 18.xx gallons![]()
SO I said dammit I hope this tank works!
Drove the left tank down to about 3/4 tank today and hit the button to see what it would do, the gauge needle still falls down, and I couldnt tell if it worked or not. I didnt feel any sputtering while it changed tanks but maybe you arent supposed to!?
Pulled the 01 out and drove it around a bit.
Since I love to whore it up I'll post a pic from today.

When I had dual tanks...I never could tell when it changed tanks.
If you drove more than a mile after you changed tanks...it is working.
Probably just a bad sending unit.
You could try a can of TECHRON Concentrate... sometimes that helps clean sending units, unless they are totally dead.
