Went to OSH to buy a new water heater and bring it home(this was Sunday).Going into the parking lot my rt. blinker started flashing really fast, just wonderfull. So OK,I have a burned out bulb..no prob.Replaced the bulb...still not working, shit. It was raining at the time so we went straight home. When removing the old water heater it started snowing cool.So the Burb sat 'til today.Got into the blinker socket and discovered wax or grease that hade dried up and not allowing the bulb to go all the way down into the socket.Cleaned that crap out and Voi La!!! It works
I'm guessing that grease shit is put there by GM to make it waterproof? or at least water resistant?
Drove it around to pearland and recycled a Christmas tree then filled her up with 25 bucks of 89 at 3.05 a gallon (just over 8) then drove it to meet up with
Makes sense.I thought that could be it.So when I put the new bulb in it pushed some of that stuff down into the socket keeping the bulb from making contact.I used a tiny screwdriver to losen some of it then blew it out with an air nozzle..
Went to the junkyard to buy truck(100 bucks a load) of parts to resell on ebay that hard to find. Found hubcap for 60's International Scout to sell on ebay.
