I would still bring it to Best buy. Worst that can happen is they say that you have no warranty. :dunno:
Its worth the trip over there to see if they will fix it.

They should, at the very least, rule out the installation since they do warranty their installs.

Yep, I'm going to have to do that this week.

And it looks like I purchased on Dec 7th 2010 from a Seller called Wazingo.

Can't find any information now, but I'm guessing they are not an authorized dealer after a quick search online.

Found on a forum post

DEI doesn't authorize internet sales of the Viper line so buying through Amazon/Wazingo will result in no warranty support from the manufacturer.

As ScottyBoy said. Online sales are not "Authorized" unless from Crutchfield or some other big name vendors. I am authorized to buy and sell Viper locally only but they do not allow me to sell it online on the website. Got in a little trouble for that and all I had was one unit on there.

Vipers come with a LIFETIME warranty on both parts and the installation, but ONLY if you bought it installed
from an authorized dealer such as Best Buy. I would bring it in and make them fix it.
From what you describe, the alarm antenna might be going bad.

Just some info I have a old Viper alarm on my truck and I once took it in to some alarm place and they fixed it so I hope this helps.
