Good thinking Ken... and I think it is a pretty good looking truck overall. I'd say 4500 tops though. At the end of an old day, it's an old truck.

Got a call back today, here is what I found out. Has 168,000 miles on it. 4" suspension lift, tires are like new. Said one u-joint needs replaced and there is 0 rust on the truck.

sounds like a 5K truck to me

Kinda what I was thinking, I need to sell a vehicle first though, cause a bank will only loan me bluebook value.

:werd:

BBV does not mean anything on older trucks. Trucks just kinda stop dropping in value in the real world. They are not like cars. Eventually cars are only worth their scrap value. A running 4x4 that will take a sticker is always worth 2k at least.

If you put 1K down i don't see why they would not lend you 4k on it. But remember if you do that the interest rate will be sky high and you will need full coverage insurance.

I have a loan on my current car and full coverage, I'm sure that truck would be cheaper on insurance. My bank offers loans at 5% interest on vehicles, I don't think that is to bad. :dunno:
