My '14 LML kept starting and then cutting out. Checked the primer and it seemed to be pretty tight(hard to push down). I have 80% fuel filter life remaining. Feel like I just replaced it. Truck has almost 42k miles on her and I'm about to make the last payment on her. After a bit of turning the engine over she'll start and be good for the day.
This started happening daily so I ripped the fender liner off or unfastened it and opened up the fuel/water separator. Let it drain, primed the filter again and she's been running good since.
I did read that some were having random issues with this and actually replaced filters, primer o rings or even the fuel filter housing.
This is my 3rd Duramax and never had this happen before. It was a easy solution if it's a permanent fix.
And...when you deleting and tuning?
I want to so bad but my stupid ass prematurely replaced the duramax payment with a new tractor payment and I'm on a quest to pay off the crew cab with every extra $$$ to eliminate payments with interest. The trucks are the only payments that have interest...
I'm also saving up for a Denali purchase at the end of '17 beginning of '18 depending on how employee discount, rebates and the first year of production on that newer engine.
I wonder if there's any tuning available for the new Kubota skid steer, it missed out on exhaust gas by one model year but still regens once a tank, it seems. The tractor doesn't have enough hp to require either.
