I'm NEW... What now?
ahhh i hear yea i was just curious haha
Yep. Since you're from Mass, you know the joys of knowing about a nasty, white, rock-like substance called SALT that eats away at paint and then the steel / aluminum underneath it.just curious but any reason for parking the 4wd? trying to keep it decent?

That's how we roll in WI. I'm doing the same parking my 4x4 to drive a mercury tracer.
The is his baby, he wants to keep it nice.
The '98, aka K1500 aka Silverado (even though pre-99 it was used as a package, not as the vehicle itself) is my pride and joy. It might look pretty nice from the outside (minus the bottoms of the doors), but underneath isn't quite as nice. I'm hoping that next year I can start working on a few things and then in the distant future restore the entire truck (I know its only 12yrs old, but I can still restore it).Hey, I caught it before it got quoted the wrong way. Holy ninja edit, that's not what it said last time I read it![]()
skills were doing OK for the time being.
I don't mean to be an A-hole, but could you use some punctuation and capital letters in your posts? It just makes it easier to read.yeah mines a lil rough... but we have it lil worse than salt they were using calcium which is like dumping chlorene on your truck haha but they went to a calcium substrate soo i hope its better... im getting 2 doors painted this week soo i definately hear ya
If I were the original owner and had the underside coated, I would and then I'd wash the exterior every week. There's a guy that lives 2 blocks from me. I finally asked him, randomly and never meeting him before in my life, how he kept his truck so clean and rust free. His response was washing it every week in the winter even if it didn't really need it. And to my amazement, he's the 2nd owner of it, but bought it 2yrs old.Meh just drive it.
Ha, 25 with winds here. That sucks. Glad I live in southeast texas....Thanksgiving Day was 85![]()
