Wish I could park my truck in the winter to save some rust but I try and wash it often to prevent it. Looks sad sitting in there all alone. :ohnoes:

Hopefully I'll be able to por15 my frame and get rid of the surface rust next summer.

The problem is the salt getting places that you will never be able to clean it out. Thats what scares me. So its either park the thing you work hard for and spend lots of $$$ to make look nice. Or move somewhere warm with no road salt. :lol:
That is the hard part. You can't always see where the salt goes; especially the dust from the salt that can go anywhere and everywhere air can go. No matter how hard you work to keep the visible salt off, there will always be corrosion between double-walled body panels and pinch-weld seams.

My best friend had his frame for a '73 Monte sandblasted and then either painted or powder coated for like $400 and it looks amazing. Granted its been sitting in a garage for over a year, so it will be a while before I can see how well it stands up in the summer driving.
