When I got home.

It sheered off the remaining part of the back corner large enough to push a dime through. The good part about the location is that I could easily squirt some silicone. So far I think it will hold.

I knew it was a temporary boat, I was just hoping I would be closer to a real job and paycheck before I had to replace it.

SOLD! $300 cash for a leaky, wore out polyethylene canoe. Now I can just sit on the money in case a good 12 foot jon boat becomes available at dirt cheap prices.

I also tested the boat we restored from my grandparents. The boat didn't leak one bit and the old merc 9 hp 2 stroke ran surprisingly well, topping out at 17 mph with two people, trolling motor, battery and gear.

I should be able to test out the long tail on this new boat soon. I spent nearly $20 buying 4 different throttle levers only to be forced back to the cheapo plastic junk ones I've been using. I foresee the need to start replacing parts on this engine as the water and humidity are taking its toll on the steel components.

New boat, it is skinnier than I would like but at 14 feet long and only 32 inches wide, this thing will be FAST!!!!

Had to take out the second seat because it interfered with the longtail.

Ok, not as fast as I thought. More like just as fast as the V hull with a max speed of 16 but at least I gained some calm water stability and having a boat that I'm not afraid to run over stumps or winch out of the river bed, both of which I did this afternoon. Gonna need to build ramps for the trailer to make winching it up a little easier.

It turns out to be more stable than I expected for a 32 inch wide jon boat.

Looks like I didn't get around to patching the cracks soon enough.

I was doing some product testing on the lake yesterday and things got kinda crazy.

Maybe I can work out a deal on a new exhaust for the long tail. Got some product testing videos that I'll post as soon as I get the green light to let them go public.
