Does McMaster sell to individuals or only businesses? I can order things through work (we even have one of the infamous yellow bibles there) but I'd prefer to not have the hassle of dealing through dad. My main use for Grainger has been replacing all of the cheap tools I've acquired with higher quality (aiming to have everything Proto eventually). I would like to get a catalog for Mcmaster just for those random things that you need but can't find anywhere.

Mcmaster sells to anyone really. We orders some metal for an experiment this yr from them both through the school and ourselves.

Cool, it's really not a huge deal since I technically own an LLC but some places are kind of picky about what constitutes an individual vs a business and my LLC doesn't qualify as a business since it does an annual gross sales of $0.

We ordered from all three in the Air Force. I use to have a McMaster catalog, big thick book but got rid of it about three years ago. Why mess with a catalog when you can view online?

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!

We order from them all the time at work. AFAIK there's no stipulation to be a business. I know guys who've ordered from them for personal use :dunno:

Hardware and fasteners prices aren't too bad. They can be a little high on industrial items (welding rod, paper towels, face shields, etc). The best part is that for many items they have AutoCAD and/or 3D models for free download  And I just know that's high on your priority list!

Ian I looked today for a cd for McMaster but had no luck. I think I was confusing Mariners Annual with McMaster Carr on the cd deal. I'll call the other ships tomorrow and see if they have one.

Sounds good, not a huge deal since they do have an online catalog I just prefer to find what I need and call in the order. That's why I like having the Grainger catalog.
