i get what you guys mean about waitingbut.... i have time off planned and i have things to do. i only have 2 months really to be ready to move my life from here to japan. my wife lives in Nor-cal and i visit her every 2 weeks so if i get a offfer in a month that is close to this current month, will i have the time to spend with her if i have to strip thje truck down? plus, i am not trying to get rich, i didnt pay full price so i have wiggle room even at the price this guy offered.

Leo gave me a very hard to pass up offer yesterday so that is also an option... rthanks for the opinions guys. opens my eyes at least to other avenues..

No I'm sorry, didn't offer to buy it he offered to modify it and store it for me. The great thing about this offer is it would be paid 4 and I could slowly modify it And he would also move it every now and then to keep everything in working order.
Having said this, it would still be 4 years before I could deal with it that is my dilemma

Yeah thats true... but then you come back and you have another truck payment..

This way you come back, you have a truck that is paid for.. and if you decide you want something newer... then you have a truck to trade in on something newer and yours would have low mileage on it.. (assuming you have low miles now)

just sell it. for whatever price w/or w/o mods that you can get. even if you keep it and someone takes care of it for you and all that....the truck is still 4 years older, sure it has low miles(right?) but its still 4 years older. cut as many expenses as possible when going overseas, makes things easier. you should be making some damn good money in japan, come back and pick up something new. just my 2 pennies

This, the flex and house are my only expenses but I see your point. I drive up to red bluff this weekend and man it was a great drive and made it harder to sell it plus it is my first truck.....

Well then take Leo up on his offer, who more to trust your baby with than Leo. You know he would take care of it.

The more I've thought about this the more I think... Sell it. In 4 yrs, you may want something newer or different.. and, if you decided you wanted a year model truck like your current one, you could probably buy one cheaper and mod it than it would cost to finish paying for this one, to keep insurance on it so it can be driven for the 4 yrs, etc.. :dunno:
