So, the stock hot side intercooler pipe is installed, got the camper home safe and sound, and have no doubt it will pull fine going forward (though I will still upgrade to the wehrli pipe this fall).

Next step is that I need to get to the local cat scale and do some testing. There is definitely a learning curve trying to get used to that much weight being on the truck. There's some chucking and bouncing (and it might be normal, but I'm not used to it) so i want to see what my pin weight really is.

Very cool. I have been looking at the Wehrli stuff...damn, peace of mind be spendy!

yeah it is, but if it makes you feel better, it's cheaper than the stock part.

LOL, yeah. Hopefully you can sell them when you upgrade. I was looking at that whole kit for $1400.

The Y-bridge is the biggest increase in performance with that setup...

But it all looks so pretty, lol

Hello folks!

Sorry it's been so long, but thought i would give an update on the towing situation with my truck...

We're parked in Hilton Head Island, SC for the next week. Pulled like a champ, and I'm feeling much better about the world at this point. :)

Checkin' in, how are things with the 5er this summer?

I don't know what it is about the south dakota trip, but it's not meant to be apparently. we re-booked the entire trip that we were supposed to do last year for this month, and well...the damn iC pipe blew again. this time instead of popping the silicone off the pipe it actually blew out the side of the silicone hose at the bottom attaching it to the intercooler. i've fixed it and we will put the 5er at the seasonal spot on 8/1, but no road trip again this year.

We're in the process of buying a new house right now, so nothing is going on with the truck, but once that's done, the that pos is gone. it will probably be replaced with a RAM dually.
