I don't know what it is about the south dakota trip, but it's not meant to be apparently. we re-booked the entire trip that we were supposed to do last year for this month, and well...the damn iC pipe blew again. this time instead of popping the silicone off the pipe it actually blew out the side of the silicone hose at the bottom attaching it to the intercooler. i've fixed it and we will put the 5er at the seasonal spot on 8/1, but no road trip again this year.

We're in the process of buying a new house right now, so nothing is going on with the truck, but once that's done, the that pos is gone. it will probably be replaced with a RAM dually.

Sucks to have all these issues. One would think that a better product would be out to rectify this with all the Dmax's on the road. Sorry to hear. How was SC? You were about 30 miles from my house as you went down I-95. :)

We are eventually going to move down to Wilmington NC. Love that area. Just will have to deal with hurricanes for the most part.

Holy shit, man!

I have been MIA, and just saw this.

I am shocked. So sorry you had this issue. We did a Montana trip, loaded heavier than ever.

We are now in the middle of a decision of 2 extremes; either we are going to get an even bigger 5th wheel, OR we are going to get a HOST slide in camper that weighs about 4000 pounds

I can't believe the GMC is giving you this grief, that just sucks

Thanks man. At this point I just won't ever trust this truck, even if it's "fixed". The new 2019 RAMs are *nice*. I drove a couple, a Laramie and a Limited. Super nice, good towing features...maybe a little slow. ;) They weren't the 1000ft-lb/Aisin combo though. Those are hard to find right now. Once the house situation is dealt with, I'll be putting in an order. Need to get it done before the 2020 GM dually becomes available in the spring and I start waffling on what i want. :)

Did you replace the boot that popped off, or just put it back on?

I'd suggest an aftermarket boot instead of a new truck [emoji23]

Unless you're having other issues.

My buddy has the 3500 HO single axle. Took him 9 months to get it from the factory.

Dude, you have the best year GM HD, I sure wish you could make it work!
