Here's a hint ..
Although the "Ejector seat" might be more beneficial .. Lol
Spending a lot of time on the dashboard ...
Did a rust treatment on the backside ...
More sanding went down ..
Do think one more primer coat and sand for the last time it'll be ready for the dark brown walnut base coat ..
Can't wait to do the printing on it, been boning up on how to go about doing it ..

Well, I've been putting this job on the back burner long enough ... Time to jump too ..
Oh Boy .. !!
This is one colossal mess that's being upgraded to a aftermarket wiring harness ..
Firewall has many holes that will be filled ..
Redoing the steering column's lower mount is also on the menu to get done ..
This is what I have in mind for it ...
Should net a much better look on the firewall than what I had going on using the Cadillac's Oem mount ..

Hope so ...
Got to reshoot the basecoat, found a few boggers that I missed in the prep work ...
These photos shows how it's going to look when done ..
Hope to get a bezel on the Pontiac vacuum gauge that will match the VDO tach ..
Need to find a VDO (3-3/8") Series One gauge to rob the bezel off of ..

Found a NOS VDO Tach in my backyard ...
Traded three for one ...
Got these years back and never installed them ..
Didn't see a need cause the truck's factory gauges work ..
Trans temp is on the standalone 4L85E controller display ..
Asked the chap if he'd be interested in doing a trade .. ?
Said he'll drop by with the tach ..
This Fellow is a Gearhead Extraordinaire, he has a "AC Cobra Super Snake" !!
Wonder how much boot he'd want to trade for my old Binder ??

Well, more dash work is on the menu ..
Being the truck has recently seen a outside Sun-Visor installed, thought it would be a good idea to run a traffic light viewer ...
Wasn't about to drill a hole in the dash to mount the thingy, so I'm going t use one of the bolts that og was for mounting electric wipers ..
My truck came with vacuum wipers, but the holes was drilled for the electric, had plugs filling the holes ..
These bolts and cup washers are factory for the ele wipers
Had them plated years back, liked the look over the plugs that was there from the get-go .. Their not doing anything, just along for the ride ..
I'm going to drill & tap one to install the viewer ..
Gives it a old school look from yesteryear ...
New plan of attack ..
Needed a flat surface for the viewer's mount, need to get M5 X 0.8 threads down in it ...
Should be able to see a stop light from under the visor now ..
