So when are you buying it :dunno: :D2

Just as soon as I hit the lottery .. !

Also will be buying a car that those boys are in the mist of building ..
This car is bad-ass as they come, it's a 53 Vette on a C8 chassis ...
They bought a brand new C8, peeled the body off of it and putting on custom made 53 Vette skin !
That's right a mid engine 53 Corvette ...

I'm taking another trip over there with my camera .. Real soon .. !!

I wouldn't know where to begin with all of that wire.

Well how about that !?!

Got lucky with the rebuild on the steering column ..
What I'm using is out of a 1975 Cadillac Coupe De Ville ( Cut down to fit )

It was a bit on the loose side being in use for 40+ years.
Needed a few parts to freshen it back up ..
Tried to find Nos pats but soon gave up that idea ..
Next thought was to grab up a junk column and hope that the parts that I'm needing are still serviceable ...

The years that would work super well was 71 to 76, in 77 they did a design change ..
That seem to turned into a hunt for Hitler's Gold Train .. !!

Did run up on a 77 year model ... Took a gamble on if the internal part would be interchangeable ??

Here's where the luck was at ..

The parts I needed was the same ..
The lower column bearing ... Mine had a crack in the plastic retainer ..
Tilt cast support, again with a crack ..
And a item that I deleted back when I installed the column .... The key buzzer contact switch ..
Seen no need for it back then, but since I'm deep into the make over I figured "What the Heck"

Soon to be back together and working like day one ... Yippee

Edit;

Well poo, couldn't use the key buzzer switch from the 77 column, not made the same as the 76 and back ..
On the hunt for a switch ..

It seems as though life is full of glitches. Just when you think you're on a roll, something has to jump up and bite you in the ass.

Seems that the key buzzer switch is going to be hard item to find ..
Not having much luck on locating a new one ...

Back to the junkyards ....

That little part has the column on hold, had a full head of steam toward completing the assembly until I tried loading the 77 switch in the 75 column ...
That's when I started hearing music ...
