You might get 15hp if you disconnected the alternator all together and maybe even the water pump as well.
I thought about it but there's something about knowing my cooling isn't being handled by electric motors and electric fans that weren't stock that bugs me. One simple failure could strand me.

But that's the thing, these ARE stock. Not to my truck, but its all stock parts from an 06, right down to the wires and relays. How often do you hear of people with 05+ truck having fan problems?![]()
And I didn't do it for a HP gain, I did it for better and more consistent cooling. Louisiana summers are brutal, and the clutch fan isn't worth a shit when the truck is sitting still, or at low engine RPMs.
