You might get 15hp if you disconnected the alternator all together and maybe even the water pump as well.

On a hard pull (towing, or uphill, etc), with the clutch locked up, I would say that fan is robbing that much IMO.

I thought about it but there's something about knowing my cooling isn't being handled by electric motors and electric fans that weren't stock that bugs me. One simple failure could strand me.

The HP gains can't really be that great anyway, can they?

But that's the thing, these ARE stock. Not to my truck, but its all stock parts from an 06, right down to the wires and relays. How often do you hear of people with 05+ truck having fan problems? :dunno:

And I didn't do it for a HP gain, I did it for better and more consistent cooling. Louisiana summers are brutal, and the clutch fan isn't worth a shit when the truck is sitting still, or at low engine RPMs.

I hear you but if it did not come on my truck, it's not stock, by definition.

I would feel safer with your setup than almost any other but there's still something about it that makes me uneasy. :dunno:

You have that sub in yet?
