great writeup, we did the same thing on a 2006 2500hd but without ththe fuse fusebox additon,,the fuse box and relay are laying on the fender ,,,my dumb friend bought fans for a 2009 using my VIN. and hey paid a total of 900$ for a no brainer

I didn't do it for a HP gain, I did it for better and more consistent cooling. Louisiana summers are brutal, and the clutch fan isn't worth a shit when the truck is sitting still, or at low engine RPMs.

And what about the winter there? Since the e-fan wouldn't be turning for nothing you would have a quicker warm-up and the engine run smoothier at idling...

If he has the 105amp alternator, he better upgrade that sumbitch. I have the 130, and it just barely keeps up. I notice a huge drop when both fans kick on together, AND I have the front AC and the rear AC on full blast.

Yeah but you live up north. Its hot as **** here and I need maximum airflow even when sitting still in my brick. Only E-fans can do that.
