You also don't have a 2010.

And there would have to be something wrong with my truck to *only* get 18 on the highway.

Driving very conservatively, 250 miles up north, I got 24.1. That was at 65MPH.

i agree as i dont hve a 2010. but i also dont have the 6 spd. i was talking about my trips down in he hot states where the mileage is affected by the 110 degree days.

if i s did conservitively, i could get better MPG's like you said, but why would i do that? no fun to me...
Dave just drives like Leo all the time!

I pull nearly 19 mixed in my 04 5.4 2wd. Definetely a low to mid 20s truck on the highway. I'd get a reg cab 2wd for mileage

I got 22.6mpg last weekend on a trip cruising around 65mph 24 degrees, slightly hilly terrain.

My EC is 2wd with the 5.3 with a 6spd and AFM. I also have the tiny stock tires which probly helped

I think you should buy a GMT800 Tahoe with tall gears in the ass.

We pull 20mpg out of our 4wd.

Enough blasphemy.

He must have somebody pushing.

I've never seen a Chevy truck get 21... downhill with a wind behind it. I've managed 19.5 per tank if I take it easy on a long trip. Most of the time it's more like 17.

Nope...all me.

I should mention that I folded my mirrors in and I did run the vent with the moonroof cracked (airflow improves). I have nitrogen in my tires as well. It was probably around 65-70 degrees.

Here is the route:

I was going up north.......

FWIW, my grandma routinely gets about 17.X in the city in her 5.3 Rainier. About the same on the highway as me with 3.73 gears but less weight.

I'm really happy getting 18 with my truck. I don't drive much under 80 on the freeway, so I'm not gonna get 20 like it probably could. I don't drive the crap out of it either though... pretty mild most all the time. I just don't travel slow on the highway.
