Man 04`s were noisy! (compared to my 09`)
I had an 05` with the VVTurbo, 3" straight pipe to a stack (reg cab dually) fWONk that thing was loud, when it high idled in the winter it sounded like a jet taking off!
And when you got on it the exhaust rapped hard, especially when I shifted gears! (manual trans)
yea they say the 03 has the loudest turbo and after hearing my 04 tonight idk how its possible. haha
gonna also get high idle set up this week after the upfitters are done.,
matts SRL tune is supposed to be less smokey. but i wanna see times if your going to the track dave

got the exhuast piped up at lunch today. still soounds good but not as loud

5" really isn`t neccesary on a stock diesel truck, unless its for the sound. You need to pump some very serious HP to need a 5" or bigger.

well im at 3.5" now and it wont be replaced for a little while and then when i go to replace it i figure might as well go to 5" anyway.
plan is to run spartan tunes until i meet with matt at gearhead about his SRL tune and then replace the oil cooler and do egr delete and then after that ill worry about studs and heads
